CHAPTER TWENTY

Julien planned to explain his mysterious disappearance without telling anyone the complete truth as to where he had been, including Shane and Dario. He’d fabricated just the right story that would protect them from worrying about his health. His boy had looked disillusioned and hurt when he realized his Dom had witnessed the demo with Dario. He would have to make it up to Shane. He didn’t deserve to feel abandoned. That was the last thing he needed at this point in their relationship. He couldn’t do a scene with Shane though, not when he had been medicated.

Had it been anyone else with Shane, Julien may have been jealous and caused a scene. But those two were like oil and vinegar, so Dario was no threat. They truly brought out the worst in each other. Shane made it known to Julien many times what his feelings were when it came to Dario, just as Dario had done about Shane. What was interesting was that Shane put aside his ill feelings for Dario and was able to do the job and enjoyed it. Maybe he enjoyed it too much. That’s right. He got hard. And don’t think this little event went unnoticed by me or the other members there for the demo.

Shane looked beautiful when he reached subspace. What worried Julien was how fast Dario had been able to get him there. He hoped that the event in itself had no meaning or value; it was merely a physiological response to stimulation from the paddling and nothing more.

Adam had asked Dario and Keme to do the demo in the first place. Shane probably knew that Keme didn’t want to do a bondage demo. Keme wasn’t shy about displaying his gay side, but in the BDSM world, he was fearful and shy. Dario was able to deal with it because he said Keme made up for it when they were alone.

Julien led Shane to the back wall where Adam and Rammy were standing. He hadn’t seen Adam this happy in a long time. Rammy was perfect for him.

“Are you ready to cut the leather?” Adam asked.

“That’s why we’re here,” Julien said. Adam knew better than to ask Julien why he was late and Julien wasn’t going to give him any details.

Adam gestured to a worker standing near the microphone to announce the cutting of the leather ceremony.

“Master Julien and Master Adam will be cutting the leather on the stage area.” The man with an Irish accent bellowed from the microphone, reminding Julien of Reverend O’Rourke. How he hated that man for damaging poor Shane. May he rot in his own hell on this Earth.

Many of the members moved below the stage area while Julien and Shane climbed the stairs with Adam and Rammy behind them. All four of them stood in the middle of the stage. The beefy announcer, who used his strength and body mass to impress other Doms and scare subs, carried a twelve foot long, and twenty inch wide black leather belt over his shoulders to the center of the stage.
